Pet Services

Nika treats dogs and cats for several reasons however all cases must be approved by your vet. Agility and working dogs are generally treated to ensure optimal performance in their discipline.

Symptoms which may respond to treatment include:

- Change in normal behaviour (eg. snapping and unable to lie down).

-  Old age/ arthritic change

-  Deterioration in performance

-  Unable to walk up and down stairs

-  Post op stiffness and rehabilitation

-  Reluctance to play or run/ turn

-  Abnormal gait patterns

-  Muscle atrophy/ wastage in a particular area

Nika has been treating and lunging my pony Callie for about six months now, after Callie went lame from tweaking a muscle in her back. Thanks to Nika, Callie is now stronger, more flexible and more well-muscled than she has EVER been. Nika’s approach is holistic and takes account of the whole horse and its physiology, so she gave me specific stretches and exercises to help Callie with the muscle tension that results from the natural dishing movement in one of her front legs. She is also brilliant with Callie, who is a little mare with lots of attitude, and Nika’s firm-but-extremely-fair approach works wonders with her. Thanks to Nika I’m now seriously looking forward to getting Callie out competing this year!

I've found the support completely invaluable. I've found it's made me notice even more about my horses and I know I grumble about Cas still looking the same but I think her pelvis is much squarer which is all down to your input. I'm actually hopeful that this might mean that you can see them less often as I tweak stuff to address how they are changing earlier (although it certainly isn't a replacement for treatments.)
