Nika’s passion for animals stems from her childhood, having grown up in South Africa and she continued this enthusiasm in her academic pathway. Nika graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (HONS) in Equine Sports Science with Psychology. The degree concentrated on equine anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, behaviour and rider psychology. She then completed a Diploma in Deep Tissue Sports Massage, delivered by Giliyan Carter Morgan, promoter at Equi- Therapy UK. Nika also has a Masters, Distinction, in McTimoney Animal Manipulation, graduating from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxfordshire. Nika is fully insured as an Animal Practitioner (Holistic Health Services).
Nika is a keen sports person herself, competing Internationally and has represented Great Britain in Belgium (2015), Italy (2016) and Paris (2017) in Dressage. Previously, Nika worked at Premier Pre Dressage concentrating on rehabilitation and schooling Iberian horses. Prior to this Nika has ridden on the flat as an Amateur jockey, winning races including the Ladies Amateur Derby. She has also worked as a track rider in Australia for David Payne, Chris Waller and Tony McEvoy.
Nika believes firmly in treating each animal as an individual and uses a holistic approach including; rider psychology. She worked for three years at Witheford Equine in Marlborough, handling and riding misunderstood horses through forms of natural horsemanship.

Qualifications
Nika has a Masters in Animal Chiropractic from the McTimoney school of chiropractic in Oxfordshire. She also has a Diploma in Animal Deep Tissue Sports Massage.
Nika is also a member of the McTimoney Animal Association (MAA), the Animal Health Profession's Register (AHPR) and is fully insured with Holistic Health Services.
Please be aware that there are many different therapies available for your animal and certain techniques would be better suited depending on the condition.
